Anita Jackman-Davey is a proud Martu woman from Central Western Australia and a mother of three, with extensive experience supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across education, employment, health, and social and emotional wellbeing.
Anita’s work is grounded in cultural strength, lived experience, and relationship-based practice. She intentionally embeds her own lived experiences into her work to build trust, connection, and culturally safe support for young people and families. Her background spans community-controlled organisations, schools, hospitals, and national services, with roles focused on mentoring, case management, community engagement, program delivery, and research.
Currently working as a First Nations Work & Study Specialist with headspace National, Anita provides culturally safe online employment and study support to First Nations young people across Australia, working closely with clinicians and community services to deliver holistic, wrap-around support.
Anita is deeply committed to reconciliation, representation, and advocacy, and is known for her ability to build strong relationships with young people, families, Elders, and service providers, always centring culture, dignity, and empowerment.
