Naomi Moran

Commissioner

Treaty NSW

I am a proud Bundjalung and Dunghutti woman and one of three independent NSW Treaty Commissioners, entrusted with leading a once-in-a-generation process of truth-telling, healing, and treaty-making across this state.

This role is more than professional — it is personal. As a mother, matriarch-in-the-making, and granddaughter of resistance, I carry this cultural responsibility with love, strength and vision.

With over 20 years of experience across Indigenous media, governance, and community engagement, previous to my role as Commissioner, I served as CEO of the Koori Mail — Australia’s only fully Aboriginal-owned and operated national newspaper.
